History
of the hotel

In 1927

The Grand Hôtel de Tours was built in 1927 by an architect from Tours, Maurice Boille, and the internationally known decorator Pierre Chareau for the interior design.
The high quality production is at the height of the style of the time.

Conservation

To preserve this original spirit, the Grand Hotel de Tours has recently benefited from a complete renovation and contemporary decoration inspired by Art Deco by Mrs. Tatiana Tragkovic.
Highly comfortable, modern and equipped with new technologies, the hotel hosts various cultural events, private meetings and seminars in this very central place in the “Loire Valley”.

Renaissance

Staying at the Grand Hôtel de Tours will introduce you to the art of living in Touraine, a region that served as the setting for the most marvelous Renaissance castles: Chenonceau, Amboise, Chambord, Villandry and its gardens, and many others.
It is also home to some of the most famous vineyards: Vouvray, Montlouis, Bourgueil and Chinon.
